Donna Rose DeByle, 75, of Wausau, passed away on March 10, 2017, at St. Clare’s Hospital, following a yearlong battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her family.

Donna was born to Lloyd and Wardena Berray in Fond du Lac, WI.

Donna graduated from Phillips High School, and went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Music Education from UW-Superior. She taught music to elementary students in Central and Northern Wisconsin, and worked in administration at Northcentral Technical College. Later she became owner of Nice As New resale shops, retiring in 2010. Over the years, she was an active member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wausau, and served as choir director there for many years.

Donna enjoyed visiting with people, and spent many hours at her kitchen table drinking coffee or having ice cream with friends and family.

She is survived by her three children, Dorie (Brad) Johnson, Ringle, Donald “Deke” (Mary Dallmann) DeByle, Weston, and Duke (Kim) DeByle, Wausau; the eight grandchildren she cherished, Kianna, Izaac, Sam, Gus, Jack, Zach, Julia, and Xander; and a brother, Jim (Marian) Berray, Plymouth Meeting, PA. She is further survived by two stepchildren, Lorrie DeByle and Doug DeByle; three step-grandchildren, Dawn, Nann, and Nick, and their families; as well as nieces and nephews, and her dogs, Goldie and Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Berray; sister-in-law, Nona Berray; and stepson, Jim DeByle.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 930 Edgewood Road, Wausau. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14th at Good Shepard, as well as one hour prior to the service on Wednesday morning.
