The plan calls for a 61-room 9,929-square foot hotel that would include a bar and restaurant, according to city documents. Cobblestone Hotels, with headquarters in Neenah, was founded in 2008 and owns 90 hotels in 19 states including Wisconsin. A similar hotel project is underway in Stevens Point, according to the group’s website.

The property where the hotel would be located is currently a parking lot and sits across from the Dudley Tower on First Street.

The city’s joint finance and economic development committees will review the proposal this week in closed session, according to the official notice and agenda.

Additional details about the hotel proposal have not yet been publicly released.
