Yvonne Henning, a six-year veteran member of the Wausau School Board, has died, according to a Wausau School District news release issued this week.
Henning worked in the Wausau School District as Educational Support Personnel starting in 1984 and retired in 2010, according to her obituary. She was elected to the school board in 2011, where she served as board clerk.
In addition to her work in education, Henning was active in the Rib Mountain Lions Club, American Association of University Women and the Democratic Party of Marathon County. She held leadership positions in local, state, and national educational associations and was an active member of many volunteer and charitable organizations.
Visitation and services for Henning will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 17 and 18, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wausau. View the complete obituary here.
