Karen J Zriny, age 69, of Schofield died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Aspirus Hospice House with her family at her side.
Karen was born in Manitowoc on May 27, 1947 to the late Roy and Beatrice (Rusch) Kramer. She graduated from Manitowoc High School and then went on to UW Oshkosh where she pursued her undergraduate degree in Education and masters in guidance and counseling. She married Jeffrey Zriny on August 16, 1969 in Manitowoc. Together they moved to the Wausau area in 1974 where Karen was employed first as a 4th grade teacher at Evergreen Elementary and then as a 7th grade English teacher at DC Everest Junior High and then to the D.C. Everest Middle school. Karen was a dedicated teacher who touched so many children’s lives. Former students would often share stories of how she influenced their lives by being patient and nurturing, treating everyone as a unique human being. Several of her former students became teachers. Karen was a member at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and bridge.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was happiest caring for her flowers, sitting on her pontoon on a nice summer evening with a glass of wine and enjoying conversation with friends on Lake Wausau. She was truly a person who enjoyed people, and cared deeply for them.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jeff Zriny; children Lisa Zriny of Green Bay and Brett (Sara) Zriny of Seattle, WA; and grandkids Beck and Kenzie Zriny.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Bea Kramer.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson St., Weston. The Rev. Lance Hoelscher will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and again from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church on Friday.

Mary Jane Vullings, 89, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at her home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
She was born August 28, 1927 to the late August and Elvira (Lussenden) Stark. Mary Jane married William Vullings, Sr. on June 5, 1948. Together they shared 57 years of marriage.
Mary Jane was cofounder of Vullings Flowers and was an accomplished florist, where perfection and customer service were her highest priority. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time outside. She was especially proud to be the owner of several miniature dachshunds. Mary Jane was also a member of the St. John’s Ladies Aid, volunteering her time celebrating residents’ birthdays in area nursing homes.
She will be deeply missed by her children; William (Terry) Vullings, Jr. of Kronenwetter , WI, John Vullings (Becky Tate) of Hortonville, WI, Mary Claire Vullings (Don) of Mosinee, WI, Robin (Donna Wix) Vullings of Milwaukee, WI, and Jay (Jennifer) Vullings of San Francisco, CA; along with 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 330 McClellan St, Wausau, WI 54403. The Rev. Raymond James Moore passed away on March 22, 2017 at his home under the care of AseraCare Hospice. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 6, 1930.
He was proud to serve his country as a United States Marine during the Korean Conflict. He served on the front lines and received a Purple Heart for his combat wound. All those who were lucky enough to have known Raymond knew that “once a Marine always a Marine” was very true in his case. Raymond flew 300 children for the “Young Eagles”.
Raymond and Camilla owned Ray’s Auto for 17 years. He married Camilla on October 5, 1957 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Camilla J. Moore; daughters Laura (Charles) Miller, Janet L. Bruck; grandchildren Jonathon Bruck, JoElle Johnson, Alicia (Seth) Griffith, Jeana (John) Svetlik; and three great-grandchildren; a brother David L. (Ruth) Moore and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Raymond A. Moore, his mother Hazel (Fancher) Moore, a sister Marcia E. Guest and brother Edward Moore.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Wausau Bible Church, 1300 Grand Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. Chris Juvinal will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston, and again from 12:30 pm until the time of service at the church. Jason was born on February 12, 1977 in Wausau to Thomas Weiland and Eileen Denfeld. He graduated from Wausau West High School in 1995 and then went on to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice from North Central Technical College in 1998. He married Kara Mohr at First United Methodist Church on September 6, 2003. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Ella and Anna.
Jason was a proud husband, father and police officer. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Packer fan. He enjoyed hunting, camping, mowing his lawn and kayaking. Most important to Jason was spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jason is survived by his wife Kara Weiland, his daughters Ella and Anna Weiland, mother Eileen (Scott) Denfeld, father Thomas (Deb Miller) Weiland, brother Brent (Jamie)Weiland, sisters Shanna Denfeld, Cati (David) Quiros, father-in-law Ronald (Sharon Feldman) Mohr, brother-in-law Jason Mohr, grandmothers Virginia Day and Janice Denfeld, his niece, nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and brothers in uniform.
Jason is preceded in death by Harvey and Donna Weiland, Russel Day, Dave Denfeld, uncle Rick Weiland and mother-in-law Pamela Mohr.

Dianne “Dee-Dee” Look, 67, will be dearly missed by family, friends, and community members. She saw hundreds of people every day as manager at the Rothschild branch of Marathon Savings Bank. She had a smile and kind words for everyone. There wasn’t a single person she met that didn’t love her.
She will be missed most by her family: her husband, Bob; her daughter, Christy Bleu (Schlosser), and her children, Jordan Bleu and Jacob and Savanna Schlosser; her son, Chuck Mientke; Her parents Norman (deceased) and Patricia Renaud; her brothers, George and Tony and their families; Her sister, Denise “Pete” Preston and her family; her previous husband, Calvin Mientke and his family, and of course, her fuzzy kids, Augustus and Louie.
Dianne was an avid gardener, an animal lover, and an artist. Her jewelry brought joy to many and raised money for the American Cancer Society.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Sara H. Quirt-Sann, 43, of Wausau, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
Sara was born September 15, 1973 in Marshfield to Robert and Gerri (Heide) Quirt. She attended John Muir Middle School, Wausau East High School, University of Wisconsin – Madison, and received her doctorate at Valparaiso Law School. She married her husband, Scott W. Sann on April 3, 2009. Sara worked very hard to have her own law practice and was an advocate for children in Marathon and Lincoln counties. She will be remembered as a kind friend to those who knew her.
Sara enjoyed golf, skiing, yoga, Facebook, knitting, reading, needlepoint, horseback riding, puzzles and games, and spoiling her dog. Although Sara had many hobbies, her favorite things were food and travel.
Sara is survived by husband, Scott Sann; step children, Abigail, Jackson and Lillian; parents, Robert and Gerri Quirt; grandmother, Lois “Itsy” Browe; brothers, Ben (Brenda) Quirt and Tim (Lindsay) Quirt; nieces and nephews, Reese, Reghan, Piper, Kian, Cooper and Tyler; and best friend, her dog Mary. Sara is preceded in death by grandfather, Orville Heide; bonus grandfather, William Browe; and her childhood dog, Lucy.
A celebration of Sara’s life will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3200 North Mountain Road, Wausau, WI 54401. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

John K. Lenhard, 55, Wausau died Friday, March 24, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born December 21, 1961 in Wausau, son of the late LaVerne and Alice (Ronek) Lenhard. On May 1, 1993 he married Deborah Nowacki at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.
John worked at Menards in Wausau. Some of his favorite pastimes included fixing and repairing old radios, small engine repairs, attending flea markets, playing with his puppies at home and spoiling his granddaughter. Recently, John and his son Jesse purchased a car so John could teach him his love for mechanics.
Everyone that knew John loved his humor and quick wit. He would make eveyrone laugh with his jokes and his random outbursts of laughter. It was so infectious you couldn’t help but laugh with him.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Lenhard, Wausau, his children, Sydney (fiancé Casey Wiedenhoeft) Lenhard, Wausau, Jordyn (Richard Benaszeski) Lenhard, Wausau, one son Jesse Lenhard, Wausau and his granddaughter, Aaliyah Benaszezski, one sister, Diane (Jim) Brill, Florida, his mother and father-in-law, Susan and Dennis Nowacki, Athens, His In-Laws, Ron (Kory) Nowacki, Athens, Linda (David) Ziegler, Wausau, Brian (Char) Nowacki, Athens, Tom (Carrie) Nowacki, Athens and Cindy (Todd Tilch) Kearns, Wausau, one god daughter, Allie DeLonay and many nieces and nephews.

Linda Schmitt, 66, Rib Mountain, died Friday, March 24, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born February 27, 1951 in Medford, daughter of Alice (Werner) Paul and the late Wilmer Paul. On August 13, 1988 she married Gene Schmitt at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. He survives.
After graduating from Michigan Technical University Linda went to work at LignoTech USA as a senior research scientist and thrived at figuring out solutions in the lab to help customers. She enjoyed traveling for work and also for leisure with her husband, Gene. Linda was very athletic and enjoyed skiing, riding bike, playing softball and racquetball, bowling and reading. Linda was a kind and gentle person.
Survivors include her husband, Gene; mother, Alice Paul; brother, Keith (Judy) Paul; nephews and niece, Nathan (Alicia) Paul, Justin (Nicole) Paul and Ashley (Kevin) Karbowski; step-son, Kirk (Gigi) Schmitt.
She was preceded in death by her father and her son Jason.

Eva Chilles passed into eternal life on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Colonial Manor, Wausau.
She was born May 27, 1918 to the late George and Anna (O’Konek) Senoraske. Eva was united in marriage to Joseph A. Chilles at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau on August 17, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1979.
Survivors include her pride and joy, her daughter, Ann Chilles, along with nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark (Liz), Ben (Ellie) and Daniel Senoraske and four sisters, Pauline (Elmer) Seiler, Agnes (Ervin) Hackbart, Elizabeth (Jack) Dean and Eva’s twin, Veronica.
Eva worked as a retail clerk in Wausau during World War II and after marriage was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, playing piano, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Bernice B. Taschler, 91, Wausau, died Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born January 24, 1926 in Clintonville, daughter of the late Rupert and Minnie (Reed) Baur. On July 2, 1947, she married Arnold Taschler in Wausau. He preceded her in death in 2011.
Bernice took great pride in the fact that she attended school and received her license as a real estate broker. She primarily sold homes that her husband and son, Lynn built but also handled the bookkeeping for the family construction business.
Among her favorite pastimes, Bernice enjoyed spending time at their cottage at Franklin Lake and she especially loved watching the wildlife there and at home. She delighted in visits from her grandchildren and took great pleasure in cooking wonderful meals for the family. Bernice also had a talent for baking and quilting.
Bernice is survived by her son Lynn (Cathy) Taschler, Wausau, daughter Sharon (Gregg) Husband, Wausau, five grandchildren, Andy Taschler, Katie (Adam) Hall, Laurie (Alex) Garske, Austin Husband and Salena Husband; two great-grandchildren Tanner and Carter Hall and one brother Marvin Baur, Ariz.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis and Lyle Baur.

Fabian F. Shulta, 82, Wausau passed away peacefully Thursday, March 23, 2017 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
He was born April 28, 1934 in Wausau, son of the late Alex and Celia (Barnish) Shulta. On May 21, 1957 he married Verna Kunnanz in Wausau. She survives.
After graduation Fabian proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon returning from Korea he was employed as an accountant for many years at WSAU television. Fabian then went to work for the Teamsters Local 446 in Wausau/Stevens Point and retired after many years. He was a certified income tax preparer and he prepared countless returns for many over his years.
In his earlier years he was an avid fast pitch softball player as a right fielder. His greatest passion in life was for the outdoors, especially hunting and musky fishing. Fabian was a devoted Packers and Badgers fan.
Fabian will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years Verna Shulta, Wausau, his children, Lisa Shulta, Wausau and Laura (Jaime) Castaneda, Lakeworth, FL; his grandchildren, Erica, Daniel and Amanda Castaneda, his brother, Edward (Ethel) Shulta, Rothschild, sister-in-law, Nora Shulta, Schofield, brother-in-law, Peter Kunnanz, Ringle, sisters-in-law, Joyce (Dave) Feck, Wausau and Kathy (Richard) DeLisle, Wausau and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Sylvester and one sister, Marge Torzewski.

Dean Allen Lewitzke, 61, of Wausau, passed away, Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital following a brief illness.
Dean was born in Wausau on November 25, 1955, son of Wilmer and Joan (Gaulke) Lewitzke. He attended school in Wausau and then began working at Cloverbelt Feed Mill and farming with his family. In July of 1980 Dean took over the family farm and on March 7, 1981 married Sue Schlueter in Wausau. Dean and Sue made their home on the farm where they raised their three children. He continued to farm and worked for the road maintenance department for the Town of Wausau.
Dean loved shooting pool and at one time was a member of three different leagues in the area. You could also find him deer hunting, fishing and just driving around the area stopping to visit with family and friends. His great joy though was spending time with his grandsons Tyler and Bradly and spent many hours serving as “Papa’s Taxi”.
Dean is survived by his wife Sue of 36 years, three children, Tammy (Gerry) Krueger, Wausau, Stacy (Paul) Seefeldt, Merrill and Allen Lewitzke of Wausau, two grandsons, Tyler and Bradly Seefeldt, his parents, Wilmer and Joan of Wausau and one brother Neal (Paula) Lewitzke of Knowlton. Brothers and sisters-in-laws, Donald (Bonnie) Schlueter, Lana Schlueter, Dawn (Gary) Merriam, Debra Fochs, Donna Mantz, Peggy (Tim) Tessmer, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Betty Pasnecker, father-in-law, Gordon Schlueter, brothers-in-law, Ronald Schlueter, Joe Fochs and Don Mantz

Lily Etta Marie Sippl, 92, Wausau, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Wausau Manor under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services with her loving family by her side.
Etta was born on June 1, 1924 in Antigo to the late Bernard and Ruth (Peterson) Lenzner. She graduated from Antigo High School. Etta married the love of her life, James George Sippl Sr. on September 2, 1946 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wausau. The couple was blessed with six children; James Jr., Robert, Michael, Kathleen, Linda and Patti. Etta and James celebrated 48 loving years together prior to his death on March 5, 1995.
Etta was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was the most important thing in her life and her happiest times were spent hosting Sunday dinners. The family would gather for one of her excellent meals and then play cards together, enjoying each other’s company. Over the years, Etta also enjoyed visiting many casinos trying her luck at the one-armed bandits.
Etta is survived by her loving children, James Jr. (Deb), Robert (Carol), Michael (Donna), Kathleen (Lanny) Borchardt, Linda Stankowski and Patti (Bill) Pardi; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joani Lenzner; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her great-grandson, Brayden Burk; siblings, Willard (Stella) Lenzner, Roy “Bud” (Gloria) Lenzner, Russell Lenzner and Delores (Connely) Henderson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, Wausau. Fr. James Schaefer will officiate. Margaret (Maggie) Anderson Scharnhorst, 86, died March 21, 2017, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin. Maggie was born in Amery, Wisconsin, on December 7, 1930, to Harry E. and Hazel V. Anderson. Maggie was a shy child; however, she grew up to be very outgoing and inspiring to others. She was the Valedictorian of her 1948 Osceola High School graduating class. Maggie went on to the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, where she obtained a degree in Education. Her first teaching position was in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. Being way ahead of her time and wanting adventure, she submitted her resume to the Department of Defense (DOD). She accepted a position with the DOD and the little redhead from Wisconsin went overseas to teach at the United States Air Forces in Europe’s (USAFE) Wheelus Airforce Base in Tripoli, Libya. While in North Africa she had many interesting and enjoyable experiences, including meeting her future husband, Gordon (Horse) L. Scharnhorst, a pilot in the United States Air Force. Maggie was then transferred to Wiesbaden Airbase in Wiesbaden, Germany, where she reacquainted herself with Horse, who was then stationed at Bitburg Airbase in Bitburg, Germany. They were married in Germany on March 28, 1960, and proceeded to have three children, Tim, Eric and Kathy, while stationed at Edwards Airforce Base in California.
After Horse retired from the US Airforce in 1972, the family moved to Wausau, Wisconsin. For a short time Maggie did not teach in order to raise her family, returning to work after her youngest started school full time. She first volunteered at Riverview Elementary School but later took a full time librarian position at Wausau East High School where she worked until she retired. Maggie was very active in the community volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, Neighbor’s Place, The Open Door and Meals on Wheels. She was also an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for 45 years where she volunteered on the Social Concerns Committee and the church Council, taught Bible Study, and served along the way as Funeral Coordinator and Librarian. Maggie was full of life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, skiing, playing bridge, reading and solving crossword puzzles. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who had the opportunity to know her.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Hazel Anderson and her two sisters, Katherine H. Anderson and Dorothy A. Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Horse, whom she loved dearly, and her three children and their spouses: Tim (Lois) Scharnhorst, Eric (Karen) Scharnhorst, and Kathy (Joe) MacDonald.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, March 25 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 930 Edgewood Road, Wausau, WI 54403. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
