TOWN OF EMMET – At least three suspects remain at large after an armed robbery Tuesday at a rural Marathon County home.
Those suspects are believed armed and dangerous, said Marathon County Sheriff Scott Parks, and held a victim at gunpoint for an unspecified amount of time before fleeing the scene.
Police were called at 6:57 a.m. to a home on Fairview Road in the town of Emmet near Edgar following a 911 call from neighbors of the victim, Parks said. Members of the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department and Wausau Police remained at the scene as of 12:20 p.m., investigating the robbery. The suspects, who wore coverings over their faces, were armed with a handgun and a bat, and left the scene in a small white pickup with no topper, police said.
Parks described the suspects as a white man, approximately 5’11”, two Southeast Asian men, both about 5’4″. A fourth possible suspect is described as an Asian woman. No one was injured during the robbery.
Residents are advised not to confront or engage the suspects, but to call 911 or local police if they are spotted.
Anyone with information regarding the case or suspects, or anyone who might have observed anything suspicious in the town of Emmet this morning should call Marathon County Crime Stoppers at 877-409-8777.
