TOWN OF FRANKFORT – One person is dead following a rollover crash discovered early Sunday morning, police said.
The name of the driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, is not yet being released.
Police were called early Sunday to the crash site on Hazelnut Road, just south of Hwy. 29, in the town of Frankfort. Investigators suspect the single-vehicle crash happened hours earlier, but was not discovered until daylight, according to a news release.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt, and a preliminary investigation shows speed and inattentive driving could have contributed to the crash, according to the release.
The crash remains under investigation.
