WAUSAU – The city’s veterans committee is looking for floats and other participants for Wausau’s annual Memorial Day Parade.
The parade will step off at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 27 with a parade route beginning at Marathon Park and ending at the VFW building on River Drive. A short ceremony honoring our nation’s fallen soldiers will follow the parade.
Patriotic floats, marching units and any group or organization interested in participating is welcome, city officials said. To join the parade lineup, call Paul Missett at 715-842-9554 or Roger Sydow at 715-675-1839.
