Weston — It probably wasn’t quite the start against the D.C. Everest Evergreens SPASH keeper Madisyn Rogan had envisioned.
A swift counterattack in the third minute left Rogan staring at a one-on-one charge by super freshman Maddie Simpson of Everest, who drew Rogan out and then maneuvered around her for a chip-shot score that gave the Evergreens a quick 1-0 lead in a key Wisconsin Valley Conference girls soccer battle.
