Wausau– Tom Weinkauf is back.
After serving as an assistant girls basketball coach at Wausau West and Wausau East in each of the past two seasons, Weinkauf will return to a head coaching role at Wausau West for the 2017-18 season.
Weinkauf takes over for Jason Teske, who stepped down as West’s varsity girls basketball coach after three seasons.
Last season, West was 14-8 overall and finished second in the Wisconsin Valley Conference behind D.C. Everest. The Warriors were knocked out of the playoffs by Everest in WIAA regional action.
