WAUSAU — After a grueling battle that went into triple overtime, Wausau Wolfpack varsity lacrosse players topped the Notre Dame Academy Tritons by a score of 7-6.

The game winner was scored by Wausau West sophomore Seth Kohl. The team played at home at Thom Field in Wausau. Caleb Moses scored twice for the Wolfpack. Tommy Neilsen, Charlie Brimacombe and Jacob Warnke also scored for the home team.

Last night’s game was a tough game between bitter rivals in the Bay Valley Lacrosse conference. The win moved the Wolfpack up to a tie for second in the conference and dropped the Tritons to third place.

The Wolfpack’s next contest is set for Saturday at 2 p.m., when the team will host Ozaukee at Thom Field.
