WAUSAU — The Wausau Wolfpack lacrosse team came up short Saturday when the team dropped an out of conference game against the Ozaukee Wolfpack.

The final score was 4-3 in a game held at Thom Field.

The low-scoring game showcased outstanding defensive skills on both sides. Ozaukee was led by a pair of goals from Max Kilner, while sophomores scored all three goals for the Wolfpack. Jack Sheridan, Tommy Nielsen and Seth Kohl scored for Wausau, while goalie Austin Federici, also a sophomore, saved 13 of 17 shots on cage that he faced.

The Wolfpack has two conference games this week, both at Thom Field. Tuesday, the team takes on DePere at 7 p.m., while Thursday, Wausau hosts D.C. Everest, also at 7 p.m.

Thursday is also Youth Lacrosse Night, when the U9 and U11 teams will play during the varsity halftime break.
