Traffic bulletin: Hwy. 29 bridge maintenance, lane closures scheduled

Motorists can expect to encounter weekday, single lane closures on WIS 29, west of Wausau in Marathon County, beginning on Tuesday, May 16.

The lane closures are necessary for crews to complete routine bridge maintenance on 18 bridges. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH in the work zones. Motorists are reminded that using handheld cell phones in Wisconsin work zones is illegal.

All work is scheduled for completion before the end of the day, Thursday, May 25.  The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
