WAUSAU ? Thursday, June 1st at 10 a.m.Route 51 marks the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking album by the Beatles, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, which was released on June 1st, 1967.

Glen Moberg will discuss the album’s lasting global impact on music and culture with Noah Fleisher, author of The Beatles: Fab Finds of the Fab Four; Paul Kennedy, Editorial Director of Krause Publications of Iola, which published Fleisher’s book; and UWSP History Professor Nancy Lopatin-Lummis who taught the course “The Band that Changed the World.” The show will also look at the skyrocketing value of Beatles memorabilia.
