TOWN OF EMMETT — The driver of farm tractor remains hospitalized Friday after he was struck by a semi tractor trailer in a Thursday night crash, police said.
The crash, reported at about 9:38 p.m., happened at the intersection of Hwy. 153 and Hwy. HH in the town of Emmett, according to a Marathon County Sheriff’s Department release. The driver of the semi tractor trailer was also injured in the crash and was treated at a local hospital. The semi driver has since been released, police said.
Hwy. 153 was shut down for more than five hours after the crash to allow a crash reconstruction team to investigate the crash. The highway is now open to traffic.
No names have yet been released and the current condition of the tractor driver was not specified. An investigation is underway.
