Ascension is pleased to welcome Elson T. Lim, MD, to Ascension Medical Group’s family medicine department. Dr. Lim sees patients at 1901 Westwood Center Boulevard in Wausau.
A board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Lim provides preventive care and treatment for urgent and chronic medical problems. He treats infants 6 months old and older, children, teens and adults. Dr. Lim has a special interest in the treatment of rashes, sore throats, conjunctivitis, urinary tract infections, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia (cholesterol), asthma, coronary artery disease and chronic kidney disease. His goal is to treat patients with respect as they discuss their health concerns. Dr. Lim explains the possible treatment options to help each patient make the best healthcare decision.
Dr. Lim earned a medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu City, Philippines. He completed his residency in family medicine and was named chief resident at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He was also awarded outstanding resident at his 2011 graduation. Dr. Lim completed his BLS and NRP certifications in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
