Wausau Pilot & Review congratulates three local officers honored this month as Everest Area Optimist Club Officers of the Year.

Kronenwetter Police Chief Terry McHugh congratulated Loveless, the department’s permanent night shift officer, on the award in a Facebook post, saying Loveless is an “outstanding and persistent investigator with an insatiable thirst for training and self-improvement.”
Rothschild and Everest Metro department heads also publicly congratulated the officers for a job well done. The awards were handed out at a June 1 luncheon ceremony.
