WAUSAU — City officials will hold a public information meeting this month to discuss a second phase of improvements to Thomas Street.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 26 in the City Hall chambers, 407 Grant Street, Wausau.

The proposed improvements would impact Thomas Street between South 4th Avenue and the Wisconsin River. At the meeting, representatives from the city’s engineering division will provide two design alternatives for that portion of the road: a four-lane option and a two lane option, according to a city news release.

Residents are encouraged to attend to provide feedback on the options, which will be compiled and presented in July to the capital improvements and street maintenance committee.
