Work on 14 miles of Hwy. 52, between Wausau and Aniwa, is scheduled to begin Monday, June 26.

American Asphalt is the prime contractor for the $1.6 million project. Crews will resurface the roadway from Elm Road (Marathon County) to US 45 (Shawano County). Work includes culvert pipe repairs and shoulder improvements.

Motorists can expect to encounter periodic, daytime, single lane closures. Lane widths on WIS 52 may be temporarily reduced for certain types of work.

Construction is scheduled for completion in mid-October 2017.

Eighty percent of the project will be paid with federal transportation funds; the remaining twenty percent will be paid with state transportation funds.
