Opening reception planned Sunday July 9

New Visions Gallery is celebrating 31 years of the immensely popular annual Culture & Agriculture exhibit with an opening reception Sunday, July 9, from 3-5 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public; complimentary refreshments will be provided.

The exhibit opens for regular gallery hours Wednesday, July 5, and runs through Sept. 1. Thirty-seven artists from five states are represented among the pieces chosen for the exhibit by the independent juror, Julie Sittler.

“I was very excited and honored to have opportunity to jury the Culture and Agriculture exhibition this year,” Sittler said. “Having been born and raised in central Wisconsin, I felt deeply connected to the work in this show. From the work depicting pastures, farms and animals, to the thoughtful sculpture pieces, I was extremely impressed with the high quality of all the work. I found myself falling in love with quite a few pieces, secretly wanting to add them to my collection. Everyone who entered work should feel extremely proud – it was very hard deciding what should be in the exhibition.”

School and community group tours are available for this exhibit. Interested parties should contact New Visions Gallery at 715-387-5562 to schedule a date and time.

Culture & Agriculture can be viewed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. MondayFriday, at New Visions Gallery, located in the main lobby of Marshfield Clinic, 1000 North Oak Ave., Marshfield.
