A 32-year-old town of Norrie man is due in court Wednesday on child neglect and a range of drug trafficking charges, according to a Marathon County Sheriff’s Department news release.

A four-year-old child was removed from the home when Alan E. Pearcy was arrested Monday, police said. A search of the home revealed about 280 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia including lighting and chemicals consistent with a marijuana grow operation, police said.

Pearcy is being referred on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with intent to edeliver, maintaining a drug trafficking place and child neglect or endangerment, according to the release. He is being held in the Marathon County Jail until his initial appearance.

An investigation by the Marathon County Special Investigations Unit is continuing.
