Updated with names: Six dead in Wisconsin plane crash

Six people died after a Cessna 421 airplane crashed Saturday near Hwy. 111 in northern Wisconsin, according to the Price County Sheriff’s Department.

Killed were Kevin King, 70, of Bensenville. Ill.; James Francis, 63, of Norco, Calif; Kyle Demauro, 21, of Bensenville, Ill; Thomas Demauro, 56, of Bensenville, Ill; Charles Tomlitz, 69, of Addison, Ill.; and George Tomlitz, 45, of Brookfield, Ill., according to a Price County Sheriff’s Department statement.

The plane was en route from Illinois to Canada for a fishing trip when the aircraft went down at about 1:53 a.m., police said. The debris field spreads over a quarter mile, according to a National Transportation Safety Bureau spokesman.

None  of the victims names have yet been released. There were no survivors.

NTSB officials said the pilot of the aircraft was up-to-date on all certifications and was allowed to fly.

The crash shut down a portion of Hwy. 111 for most of Saturday.

The FAA and NTSB, along with the Price County Sheriff’s Department and coroner will continue the investigation.
