A member of the Water Walkers Central Wisconsin Ski Show Team is recovering after a boating accident during the group’s July 2 show.
Police and rescue crews were called to the 1700 block of South Third Ave. for a report of a boating accident with injuries, according to a Wausau Police Department report. The skier was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
A report on the investigation will be forwarded to the Department of Natural Resources for Review.
Hours after the crash, the Water Walkers posted a statement on their Facebook page:
“We want to update everyone, at tonight’s show we had an unfortunate accident, but thankfully the skier involved is OK.”
