The 34-year-old man Portage County Sheriff’s officials called a “person of interest” in connection with a missing teenager is in custody, but the missing girl has not been found.
Rayna Griffin, 15, left a group home at about 3:15 p.m. on July 15, and was last seen with 21-year-old Terry Warren, a convicted sex offender, police said. Griffin’s absence from the group home was not authorized, but police said she left voluntarily.
Warren has since been arrested on a probation warrant.
Deputies had reason to believe that Griffin with Elliott Adams, who was considered a person of interest in Griffin’s whereabouts, according to a Portage County Sheriff’s Department news release. Adams was arrested on Monday.
Anyone with information about Griffin’s whereabouts should call the Portage County Sheriff’s Department at 715-346-1400 or local police. Callers’ identities will not be released. Emails can also be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Police do not believe Griffin is in any immediate danger.
