WAUSAU — Several local nonprofit organizations will host an event to help ease housing challenges for local residents who are in need of assistance.
Project Connect is slated for 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 27 at The Salvation Army Worship and Community Center, 103 S. Second Avenue, Wausau.
The event includes a free lunch served from noon to 1 p.m., free showers, and opportunities for people and families to connect with local organizations that may be able to assist them. Anyone who is having trouble with rent, house payments or other challenges related to housing is encouraged to attend.
