RACINE, Wis. (AP) — Authorities are treating the death of a Racine teenager in Lake Michigan as an accidental drowning.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office says the 16-year-old boy was swimming with two teenager friends late Sunday afternoon when he went under the water and didn’t resurface.
A dive team found the boy and removed him from the water. He was taken to a Racine hospital but didn’t survive.
The boy’s name wasn’t immediately released.
