MARATHON COUNTY — One person is injured following a single-vehicle crash Tuesday on I-39, according to a Marathon County Sheriff’s Department release.
The crash was reported at about 6:22 p.m. and happened on the ramp leading from the northbound lane I-39 leading to eastbound Hwy. 29, police said. When emergency crews arrived, they found the vehicle had left the roadway and flipped, landing on its rooftop.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was injured and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital. Police did not describe the severity of the driver’s injuries or say what led to the crash, which remains under investigation.
The driver’s name has not yet been released.
