TOWN OF BUENA VISTA – A 33-year-old man is dead following an early morning crash in Portage County, according to police reports.
Dispatchers first received a call about a power outage at about 12:15 a.m. on Hwy. B in the town of Buena Vista. Police arrived at the scene and found a car had overturned. The driver, a 33-year-old town of Buena Vista man, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
An initial report shows the driver was southbound on Hwy. BB when he drifted onto the east shoulder of the road, swerved, entered the west ditch, struck a power pole and overturned.
The crash is still under investigation, and the name of the driver has not yet been released. This story will be updated.
