Police say one person is unaccounted for following an early morning explosion at a home near Shawano.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department first responded to the report at about 5 a.m. to an address on Richter Court in the town of Wescott. The home is about 15 miles northeast of Shawano.
One person who lived at the home was not at home when the blast leveled the home, police said. There’s no word on the whereabouts of the second occupant.
Witnesses say the home is completely destroyed, with insulation and debris scattered throughout the neighborhood.
