WAUSAU – The Marathon County Public Library is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a community event featuring stories, songs, crafts and more.
MCPL will offer this special cultural program from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Sept. 23 at the library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. A second, identical program will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, also at MCPL Wausau.
Kids and families can hear stories and songs in both Spanish and English, followed by the opportunity to create fun and educational crafts from a variety of Hispanic countries, including a Chilean rain stick, Mexican folk art and more! This event is in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15). All supplies will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220 or visit https://mcpl.us/events?event_id=3793.
