WESTON — A 51-year-old Weston man is facing accusations he sexually assaulted a child “almost  daily” for a period of more than eight years.

Dale Krueger was released Monday from the Marathon County Jail after posting a $5,000 cash bond. He faces charges that include repeated sexual assault of the same child, a class B felony that carries a maximum prison term of up to 60 years.

The alleged victim was between the ages of 3 and 11 during the time of the assaults, according to the police report. Wausau Pilot and Review will not disclose the precise relationship between the victim and the accused to protect the identity of the victim.

According to the criminal complaint, the alleged assaults took place at Krueger’s home and in the office of an assisted living business he was contracted to clean. The girl told an Everest Metro Police detective she was also assaulted in the man’s minivan while she accompanied him on his newspaper delivery route.

Krueger first appeared in Marathon County Circuit Court on Friday, Oct. 13 and was held through the weekend. A review hearing is set for Friday, Oct. 20.
