WAUSAU — The Wausau RiverWolves have selected their first captains in team history.  Wearing the C is Tristan Slot and wearing the two A’s are Matt Irwin and Owen Routheut.

Before coming to the Wausau RiverWolves, Tristan who is a native of Kaukauna, played for three teams in the WSHL last season, which were the Tulsa Jr. Oilers, Butte Cobras, and the Bellingham Blazers.

At the three stops he finished with five goals and 10 assists in 48 games played. Before taking his talents to the WSHL, Tristan played for the West Coast Renegades U16 team for two years totaling 12 goals and 10 assists in 60 games played.

Irwin, a native of Roseville, Minn., played junior hockey last season for the Minnesota Iron Rangers of the SIJHL and the Steele County Blades before making his move to the Wausau RiverWolves.

Routheut, from Feversham, Ontario, Canada last played for the Lambton Shores Predators of the GOJHL and the Wingham Ironmen of the PJCHL.
