TOW OF BRADLEY — A 24-year-old Tomahawk man is facing criminal charges following an early morning altercation that left a woman and an 8-month-old child injured.

A 911 call reported the incident at 3:08 a.m. Sunday, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. The woman and infant were both transported by ambulance to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The man, whose name has not been released, is being held in the Lincoln County Jail on preliminary felony charges of physical abuse of a child, causing mental harm to a child, intimidation of a victim, intimidation of a witness, strangulation/suffocation, false imprisonment and operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Police said the man is on probation and is also being held on a probation violation.

Formal charges are expected to be filed on Monday.
