Wisconsin Singers, which provides top tier entertainment by some of the University of Wisconsin’s most talented musicians, will perform at Wausau West High School as the group celebrates its 50th anniversary season.

The Broadway-caliber revue, Can’t Stop Dancin’, will be performed at 7 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 18.

Can’t Stop Dancin’! highlights American pop music from the past five decades, covering more than 40 songs featuring captivating vocals, stunning choreography, big band sound and Badger spirit performed by UW’s most talented students. From Aretha Franklin to Duke Ellington, KISS to Elton John, Pentatonix to Taylor Swift, and Moana to the Muppet Show, Can’t Stop Dancin’! promises entertainment for music lovers of every genre and generation.

Covers of Broadway hits from Dear Evan Hansen, Rent and Hairspray balance out classic rock, top forty and smooth jazz. Wisconsin Singers band rocks the house with a tribute to The Beatles and a lively medley of swing tunes.

Badger fans will enjoy the tribute to UW’s Fifth Quarter too, where you can sing along to On Wisconsin, dance to Hey Baby and jam to Tequila. Wisconsin Singers alumni, Taras Nahirniak (arranger/orchestrations), Michael Stanek (choreographer) and Jarad Voss (choreographer) have joined the creative team to produce an exciting and fun show that promises to entertain audiences of all ages.

Area graduates are involved in the show as well. Reid Parks, a 2016 Marathon Graduate, is a singer-dancer with the troupe, and Lucas Ratanawong, a 2017 Wausau East graduate, is part of the Wisconsin Singers’ business team.

The opening act for the show will be the Wausau West Master Singers, Jazz Band and Warrior Orchestra.
