MERRILL — A jury trial has been set for a 24-year-old Tomahawk man accused of stabbing a man nearly a dozen times.
Cody Jenson is facing charges of attempted first degree intentional homicide, first degree reckless injury, first degree recklessly endangering safety, and aggravated battery with the intent to cause great bodily harm in connection with the July 8 town of Bradley stabbing.
A judge on Thursday set a date for a 3-day jury trial for Jenson to begin April 30.
Police said Jenson was arguing with the alleged victim about a friend when Jenson pulled out a hunting knife and stabbed the man 11 times in the shoulder, arm and abdomen. The man was treated at a local hospital.
Jenson is free on bond. He was initially ordered held on a $100,000 cash bond, but Lincoln County Circuit Judge Jay Tlusty in August agreed to lower the bond amount to $50,000.
