TOWN OF LYNDON — Two hunters on Saturday discovered what appears to be human remains in a wooded area in Juneau County, police confirmed Monday.

The hunters called police at 10:28 a.m. to report the grim discovery, according to the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department. Detectives are investigating, but so far there has been no positive identification of the remains, police said.

Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson, in a press release, said there is no apparent danger to the public.
