WAUSAU — A Wausau woman is being sought by police after she failed to return to the Marathon County Jail, one week after her conviction on felony bail jumping and other charges.
Summer Courtney was released on a pass to attend school at the Salvation Army and was expected to return to the jail by noon on Monday, according to the Marathon County Sheriffs Department.
Courtney is serving a sentence of one year in jail for felony bail jumping and charges of driving or operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, and was given Huber privileges to find work, attend school, or undergo treatment. The sentence was passed down on Nov. 13.
A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
Courtney is 5’5?, 144 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Court records show Courtney has previous charges of failing to report to the county jail for more than 10 days.
Those charges and an accompanying arrest warrant were filed June 21, court records show. Courtney remained at large for nearly two months, though those charges eventually were dismissed as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
