MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Dane County Sheriff’s deputies have reunited a man found wandering around a yard near Cross Plains with his family.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Elise Schaffer said the man was discovered in a yard along State Highway 14 shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, hospital scrub pants and one slipper. A sheriff’s department news release described him as in his 20s and about 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds.

The release said the man was disabled and unable to speak. He did not appear to be injured but deputies still took him to a local hospital.

The sheriff’s department updated the release later Wednesday afternoon to say the man had been identified and reunited with his family. The new release didn’t offer any additional information. Schaffer didn’t immediately reply to an email seeking more details.
