WAUSAU — A portion of South First Avenue, from Sherman Street to Stewart Avenue, is temporarily closed to traffic, according to city officials.
The closure is necessary to complete emergency sewer repairs.
Traffic will be detoured west on Sherman Street to 17th Avenue, then northbound on 17th Avenue to Stewart Avenue and back to South First Avenue.
The closure is expected to last through Saturday.
