The Newman Catholic girls basketball team on Thursday picked up a tough win on the road, with five Cardinals scoring at least 8 points in the 57-22 victory over Prentice.
Both teams are ranked in Division 5 action, with Newman Catholic at no. 6 and Prentice at no. 8.
Signe Fronek led the way for the Cardinals with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Mackenzie Krach and Julia Seidel also scored in double digits, with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Next up: Newman will take on Stratford on Tuesday at home.
