MERRILL — Trails in Marathon County remain closed at this time, but snowmobilers can now head north to take a ride.
Lincoln County on Thursday opened a portion of Zone 1 of its snowmobile trails to riders.
The trails south of Hwy. 86, corridor 15 south of intersection 28, corridor 17 south of intersection 30, and trails 51 and G in the Gleason area remain closed. Zones 2 and 3 have not yet opened. Riders are asked to use caution, as trails remain in early season condition.
