PORTAGE COUNTY — An early morning crash has shut down a portion of Hwy. 54 in Portage County, while downed power lines have left about 100 residents without power, officials said.
There are no immediate details about the crash, which happened around 4 a.m. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway near CTH BB are expected to remain closed for several hours, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Eastbound traffic is being detoured via CTH BB south to Ridge Road, over to Shady Drive and back north to Hwy. 54, officials said.
Westbound traffic is being detoured north on CTH J to CTH B, westbound to CTH R, then back to Hwy. 54.
