SHAWANO — Police are searching or a suspect who allegedly robbed a Shawano clothing store at gunpoint.

Shawano Police were called just after 7 p.m. Thursday to the Maurices clothing store at 170 Woodlawn Drive for a report of an armed robbery. The robbery happened as an employee was locking the door to close for the night, police said.

Police say the suspect, a Caucasian man in his late 20s or early 30s, brandished a handgun and ordered the employee to give him money. The man is described as being about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark denim jeans. The suspect, who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, wore a ski mask, police said.
