WAUSAU — A public presentation to raise community awareness and increase visibility of the city’s housing challenges has been set.

The presentation will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15 at Wausau City Hall in council chambers. Joseph Volk, executive director of the Wisconsin Coalition Against homelessness, will be the keynote speaker.

Volk is expected to provide an overview of state legislation on homelessness and offer examples of strategies that are working well in other communities. Pam Anderson, hunger and homelessness coalition advisor for the United Way, will offer a local perspective and discuss work being performed by the housing and homelessness coalition.
