WAUSAU — The B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation has named a new executive director, according to organization representatives.

Pamela Jackson assumed the role previously held by Brian Gumness on Jan. 18, officials said. Gumness will now act as the chief executive officer of the foundation.

“We both look forward to continuing to serve the greater Wausau area and furthering the mission of the B.A. and Esther Greenheck Foundation as my grandparents, Bernie and Esther, intended,” Jackson said, in an email.

“I am truly grateful for this opportunity, and look forward to working with you to keep our community a safe, healthy and welcoming place to live.”

The B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation was established in 1998 by Bernie and Esther Greenheck. The foundation provides financial support for meaningful projects in North Central Wisconsin that enhance the area’s arts, education, health, economic and social development resources.
