The Jig opened up a couple months back in the old Iozzo’s spot, so it was about time I checked them out. Me and my kid got in the car and headed out there this past weekend for a late-lunch / early-supper.

No one was there because of the oddball time we went, so we were seated right away. Service throughout the experience was pretty on point. Everyone was polite and friendly.

The décor is themed around fishing and northwoods life. You’ll see it in the video, it’s done well. We sat in the solarium, which was nice and warm and had a good view (of winter). The art in this room was framed drawings of old fishing lures and reels. Not gonna lie, they were really cool.

We both enjoyed the food. It was prepared well, the presentation was attractive, and it tasted good. This was one of the rare occasions when my young son took some of his food home and actually ate it. If you knew my boy, you’d know these are high marks.

All in all, it was good food in a comfortable place, so check out the The Jig if you’re into that sort of thing.
