TOWN OF SCHLEY — A 22-year-old Merrill man is facing OWI and other charges in connection with a Saturday evening crash in the town of Schley.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, a cell caller at 10:40 p.m. Saturday reported a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a power pole on Hwy. 17 at CTH C, downing power lines.
The driver, whose name was not immediately released, was cited for first offense OWI charge along with other offenses related to hit and run, according to police.
The man was also booked into the Lincoln County Jail on a drug charge after he admitted to owning marijuana found in his vehicle, police said.
No injuries were reported.
