Tomahawk man injured in snowmobile rollover crash

LINCOLN COUNTY — A 66-year-old man is hospitalized after he was injured in a snowmobile crash on Saturday.

The crash happened on the Spirit River off of Anchor Bay, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. The driver, whose name was not released, struck a snowbank and rolled his snowmobile.

The man was transported first to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital before being transferred to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Police did not disclose the severity of the man’s injuries.

The driver was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not a factor, according to police.
