MARSHFIELD — A 30-year-old Stratford woman died early Sunday in a snowmobile crash, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
Ashley A. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on a trail just west of Hwy. M near Stratford after her sled struck a tree, authorities said.
According to a report in the Hub City Times, Moore, who leaves behind a husband and two children, was a co-owner of Trimpac, a Marshfield-based business that recently relocated to Stratford.
The Wisconsin DNR said it has been more than a decade since someone has died in a Marathon County snowmobile crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
