The Wisconsin Woodchucks have announced the signing of two more additions to the 2018 roster.
from Pepperdine University and Brandt Broussard from LSU will be joining the Woodchucks this summer.
Alexiades, a 6’2” redshirt freshman, will begin his first season with the Pepperdine Waves this spring. Alexiades played three seasons of varsity baseball in high school. His senior year, he had a .311 batting average with 28 hits, two home runs, and 17 stolen bases.
He was named to the Bay League First Team and All-Area second team in addition to being named Team MVP. As a junior in high school, he received Bay League MVP honors after batting .363 with 37 hits, 17 RBI, three homers, 11 doubles, two triples and 20 stolen bases. Alexiades is originally from Manhattan Beach, CA.
Broussard, a 5’10” junior, will play in his first season with the LSU Tigers baseball team. Broussard played for the Danville Dans of the Prospect League during the summer of 2017. He hit .294 with seven doubles, two home runs, 16 RBI, and 15 stolen bases. Prior to that, he played for Delgado Community College where he batted .429 with tw
o homers, 16 doubles, three triples, and 15 stolen bases.
Broussard also posted a .531 on-base percentage. Broussard was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Player of the Week at Delgado Community College last season when batted .567 in one week with 17 hits. He is originally from Baton Rouge, LA.
