Eugene Morris (Bud) Brandenburg passed away February 17, 2018 at the age of 93 years.
He was born to the late Arthur and Geneva (Dix) Brandenburg on December 1, 1924.
He graduated from Wausau High School in 1943 and on July 9, 1943 he joined the United States Army Air Corp as a radio operator, mechanic and gunner of the 432nd Bombardment Squadron, 17th Bombardment Group and later the 37th Bomb Squadron, 17th Bomb Group. He flew 66 missions over the European and Mediterranean theaters. He was honorably discharged on November 1, 1945.
On October 20, 1950, he married Elizabeth K. Susor of Wausau. Surviving are sons Bruce Brandenburg, Wausau, Steven (Candace) Brandenburg, Abbotsford, and Scott (Dina) Brandenburg, Kokomo, IN and twin daughters, Karen Brandenburg (Todd Wippermann), Wausau, and Kathleen (Mike) Vanden Boogard, New London, grandsons Matthew Brandenburg, CA, Mitchell & Tyler Vanden Boogard, New London and granddaughter Brooke Kafka (Brandenburg), Stratford.
He went to work as a pharmaceutical salesman for the Stanley Drug Company and later worked for Cargill, Inc. He also had his own mink ranch business for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and most of all spending time at their cottage with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Clayton Brandenburg, Wausau and his sister Shirley Magnuson, Wausau.
The family would like to thank Aspirus Hospice and would also like to especially thank the very wonderful people at Our House Senior Living.
A private memorial service will be held by the family.

Elroy W. Staszak
Elroy W. Staszak, 65, Wausau died Wednesday February 14, 2018 at Tranquility Way, his home for the last seven years. Elroy was born December 19, 1952 to Arthur and Delores (Zietlow) Staszak, in Wausau.
He enjoyed the many years he attended the EACH and ADS programs. He also liked playing with stuffed animals, watching action shows on television and watching his mother and caretakers cook. His favorite season was Christmas, especially the tree lights and the song, “The Little Drummer Boy”. Although Elroy was unable to speak, feed himself, or walk, his various sounds and behaviors showed those who were close to him what he was feeling. Whenever someone came to visit him, his eyes would light up and he would smile at them. He will be dearly missed by his family, caretakers and housemates.
Survivors include his father and mother, Arthur and Delores Staszak, Wausau; brother, Robert (Judy) Staszak, Wausau; sister, Carol (Clem) Jauquet, Eagan, MN; niece, Niki, and great-nephew, Caden, both of Somerset, WI.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter and Helen Staszak and Arthur and Adelia Zietlow.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth St., Wausau. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will preside. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.

Amy J. Woller Dorgay 45 of Merrill passed away on February 14, 2018 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Amy was born to Kenneth and Rita (Hofmann) Woller on January 5, 1973. She married Jeffrey Dorgay her lifelong friend on June 24, 2017. She loved fishing at Ott’s Park, rides through Council Ground, spending time on her facebook group “ Merrill, strolling down memory lane,” to all her friends new and old that she connected with. She also enjoyed being an armature storm chaser, game and movie night with her children. But most of all her time with her family and friends was what was so important to her.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey, children, Megan (Justin) Spreeman, Eau Claire, Robert Spreeman and Daniel Tyler Dorgay, both of Merrill, her parents Kenneth and Rita, one sister, Lisa (Jeff) Brown, their daughter Samantha Brown Grenwalt, grandson Zander Brown Grenwalt, one brother, Wayne (Deb) Woller, their children, Nikki, Phillipp and Duston Koening. Grandfather Kenneth Hofmann, aunts, Lorene Hofmann, Ann Hofmann and Nancy Walsh, all of Merrill. Uncles, Randy Hoffman Raymond (Janet) Woller, St. Germaine. Mother-in-law Elaine Zaren, sister-in-law Linda Palasz and dear friend Greg Gottwald of Rhinelander.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Grace Hofmann and Raymond (Ardith) Woller and one cousin Lynn Lecher.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 3, 2018 at Northway Club N2198 US Hwy 51 Merrill, from noon until 5:00 p.m.
Amy’s last gift of life was that she was an Organ and Tissue donor. On February 15, 2018, 4 recipients received gifts of organs from her. Her life and spirt will live on in the ones that she has now helped.

Adeline L. Wanta, 75 of Bevent, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Ascension Saint Clare’s Hospital, Weston.She was born on February 24, 1942 in Wausau to Anton and Mattie (Cebula) Wanta. On August 15, 1962 she married Clarence Wanta at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent.
Adeline was self- employed for many years, selling beauty and health products, a job she truly enjoyed. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Ladislaus, the VFW Women’s Auxillary in Elderon, and the Red Hatters. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a huge Elvis fan. She loved to cook and to spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence “Kelly” Wanta, Bevent; her mother, Mattie Wanta, Bevent; two sons, Bruce (Cindi) Wanta, Mosinee, and Bryan (Tammy) Wanta, Bevent; four grandchildren, Kyle Wanta, Wausau, and Kristen, Kaitlyn and Tyler Wanta, all of Mosinee; one great grandson, Ashton Wanta; three brothers, David (Jennie) Wanta, Wausau, James “Jack” (Sue) Wanta, Bevent, and Ronnie (Debbie) Wanta, Bevent. She was preceded in death by her father, Anton Wanta.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausouleum, Restlawn Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangments.
